Save your design is an add-on for keeping a configuration without adding it to the cart. A customer can come back to it later, download it, or send it to someone else. You can also store configurations of your own as presets — starting designs for a product, or links you share.
Each feature is optional. Turn on the ones you need in Product Configurator > Settings > Save your design.
What it adds
In the configurator, depending on which options are enabled:
- Save — a logged-in customer stores the current configuration on their account and can reopen it from My designs. Saved configurations are listed in WooCommerce > Configurations. Guests can be pointed to an account-creation URL.
- Download PDF — a PDF of the configured product, with a picture of the current view and a summary of the choices.
- Share — a link that reopens the product with that configuration already loaded. The link can be copied, posted to social networks, or sent with a
mailtolink. - Share by email — a form that emails the configuration to the customer, with an optional copy to the shop. The emails are WooCommerce emails, with placeholders for the summary, the link and a QR code.
For the shop, it also adds presets: named configurations you create for a product, a default starting design, and a preset_id you can pass to a shortcode. Add configuration preset appears on the configurator's Home screen and in the admin bar.
