The Advanced description add-on lets you attach rich, formatted content to a layer or to an individual choice, and show it to the customer on demand.
The description built into the configurator is a short line of plain text. Advanced description replaces that with a full editor, so a choice can carry images, formatting, links and headings — the sort of detail that helps someone decide between two similar options without leaving the configurator.
Typical uses:
- Explaining what a material actually is, with a close-up photo,
- Care or maintenance instructions for a particular finish,
- Sizing guidance on a layer that asks the customer to pick a size,
- Any "what's the difference between these two?" question you keep being asked.
How the customer sees it
Choices and layers that have an advanced description get an information control next to them. Selecting it opens the description, either as a panel sliding in from the side of the screen or as a modal window — you choose which, site-wide.
